Hiya,

I have to go to my 20-week scan by myself, as hubby is working away :o(

Will they tell me the sex of our baby if he isn't there too?

Thanks.

I think it depends on the individual hospital. We have just moved to MK & they do tell you here (even though Bump was being shy & they couldnt definately tell us) but the hospitals where we used to live wouldnt. I got a leaflet from my midwife regarding the scan which said they would tell us. I dont think they wouldnt tell you if your Hubby wasnt there.

(Bloming heck Im rambling today!! Sorry!!)

I should imagine they will do hun - but not sure! it will also depend on bubs though - ours was being naughty and had her legs crossed so we had to book a private scan to find out! :D

some hospitals won't tell you full stop but those that do will tell you so long as everyone present agrees to it.

My DH didn't want to know which is lukcy because she wouldn't have been able to find out for us anyway becauyse of the way the baby was lying.

If yours is a hospital that will tell you then they should tell you if you are on your own.

It depends on hospital policy, and they will usually say they are not 100% sure, but as sure as they can be (just so they don't get in trouble later if they're wrong).

If the hospital policy is to tell you when possible, you will usually need to ask them when you go in for the scan, and I don't see any reason why they wouldn't tell you if OH wasn't there.

We nearly didn't find out as little man had his knees up and ankles crossed over his bits!

Your OH being not being there doesn't make a difference. TBH they don't know if you even have a OH or not, you could be a single parent for all they know?!?
