im due for a upgrade and cant decide between the nokia n95 and the sony ericssonk850i i currently have the sony ericsson k800i which one would people say is the best or would get

personally id say the k850i - im not a fan of nokia, and youll already be used to it as theyre both similar, i use a K810i and K850i

oh without a doubt Sony Ericsson K850i!!!!! I have the Nokia N95, had it for 6months and its pants....Im changing it for the K850i in a few weeks

I have had a K850i since October/November time and i have had to send it off for repairs, i now wish i had got the Nokia N95 as my oh has it and it is so much better and easier to use.

id say if you really liek your sony ericsson then go for the same make but it will be just like having the same phone but it looks different or if ya fancy a change then go with the nokia. i have heard good things about both.

Having spent 5 years working for The Carphone Warehouse (not now though ) I'd say the Sony Ericsson.

Reasons:
1. You're used to the menu system
2. Better quality camera
3. Much, much, much better software running the handset

I used to repair phones as well as sell them and the amount of Nokias in for software faults was astounding, especially within the first 6 - 9 months of launch. Nokia are reknown for using the consumer as beta testers for their software, in other words you find the faults, tell them about it, they then rewrite the software to fix it (which invariably causes other faults to crop up)

At the end of the day though it's all down to personal choice and what you want function-wise, no handset will do everything you want and none of the things you don't.

Best advice would be go and have a play with them both, any retailer worth their salt will happily let you have a fiddle first.

I have the nokia nd OH has the SE.
To be honest, I don't reallylove either.
The camera on the nokia isslow and complicated to usethe menus, the SE again is overly complicated and the touch screen buttons are apain in the arse.

I had a SE before my nokia so wanted the knewone, but OH really wanted it and we couldn't have the samephone so I had to have the nokia.

Overall neither are horrific phones, but nowhere near the standard I expected.

I've got the N95 and it would be a really good phone if it worked properly. It's slow, the battery goes down dead quick if you don't cancel the applications properly and I've had 2 replacements and 1 repair within 8 months. The camera and video recorder are good though but I wouldn't get the phone just cos of that.

I dunno what the other one is but I would say get that one
