So this is the first month we’re going to try using preseed. Meant to ovulate 4/7 (tomorrow) and I’m just thinking should I have used the preseed last night when we BDed? Which cycle day do you girls usually start it on?

I've never used it but I would start 5 days before ovulation, as that's how long sperm can live and the preseed helps them stay alive. :) Don't worry about not using it yet, make sure you use it tonight/tomorrow though! Good luck x

Just popping in to send you lots of luck, Akua <3

I would say 4 or 5 days before ovulation is due.

Hi confused what you mean by what day should i start it on?
Should you be "doching" before bd?

Preseed is a fertility lubricant. It’s meant to be significantly better for helping sperm meet eggs than using normal lube or saliva. As it’s quite expensive, I didn’t want to use it the entire month. That’s why I was asking what other people do with it

ok sorry confused by what you meant, yeh i am not 100% sure how meant to be used..
so i use it as generalised lube but dont douche with it.. i am suspicious you are supposed to douche..?

We used Preseed. We used it like a normal lube and didn't use the applicators it comes with as they use so much more than you need.

We were trying for a long time and tended to start using it as soon as we were 'trying' for that month. I tended to ovulate CD11-13 so we would start any time from CD7 and continue to CD15. As we were losing hope and getting generally fed up of the whole thing, we started trying to focus TTC BDing closer to ovulation as my cycles were so regular. The month we caught I got my positive OPK on CD11 and we dtd that evening with Preseed for the first time that month.

Hope that helps.

I’ll be using Preseed on my next cycle, my husband has just his vasectomy reversal tonight :)

I usually ovulate at around CD21 of a 32-33 day cycle so I think I’ll start using it round about CD17. It’s a good tip about the applicators though and I think we’ll use it like a normal lube too.

How is it gone? How is your husband? :)

I mean. It does take all of the romance out of it  used it like the instructions say and used the syringe applicator. Very odd to pause just before DTD to put a syringe of gunk up there

:):dance:Definitely! But worth it if does what it should

It went really well, thank you :)

Mr Harriss managed to do a successful vasovasostomy on both sides and said there was a lot of healthy looking vasal fluid. He said we have a very good chance of my husband becoming fertile again :D

2 weeks of rest now and we can finally start ttc, I’m on CD1 today coincidentally so will be close to ovulation when he’s all healed. We’ll need a lot of practice though apparently because he needs to get rid of the old stuff
