When is the safe stage where you no longer need to worry about a miscarriage

The books say after 12 weeks but try not to worry about miscarriage and enjoy being pregnant :flower:

If it's going to happen then there's not much that can be done to prevent it so just enjoy been pregnant...the risks reduce day by day xx

There is no safe stage unfortunatly you just have to be positive and enjoy your pregnancy, less stress the better xx

I've learnt that those first few weeks are just an introduction to parenthood and that from now on - whatever the stage of my pregnancy and whatever the age of my children, I will always worry about keeping them safe! But there's no 'safe stage' is there? Your child will always be exposed to risk - from germs and disease, to crossing the road, to going on their first holiday away with their mates. Our job is to do anything within our power to keep them safe, but to accept that we can't wrap them up in cotton wool and there are just some things that we can't control. We have to cherish the good times rather than dwell on the what ifs - and that starts from the moment our babies are conceived xx

There is no such stage but you have to take more care till you reach 12 weeks.

Not like you go sky diving or white water rafting once you hit 12 weeks though is it? I wouldn't say I am 'more careful' in Tri 3 than I was in Tri 1 - you avoid the foods they advise you to avoid, you try not to fall down any stairs, you take all the same precautions during pregnancy whether you're at the start or the end.

Try not to worry but I know where you are coming from - I can be fine for weeks then before each appointment or scan I start to panic as I had a miscarriage last year but like others have said if its gonna happen itl happen regardless of how careful you are - my friend and I who both lost babies around the same time think the same that we are gonna just eat and drink what we are craving obviously avoiding the foods you shouldn't eat but we have both been wrecks at certain points through pregnancy this time - she has bout 6 weeks to go i have 25 to go xx
