My midwife prescribed 5mg of folic acid and Higher dose of vit d and I’ve been taking it everyday as well as pregnicare max.

I’m 12+2 today do I need to stop taking the extra folic acid?

As your midwife has prescribed 5mg and higher side of vitamin D, I would get this advice off her as there may be a reason for keeping you on longer.

I think the folic acid should be OK to take, I was on high dose for all of the 39 weeks of my previous pregnancy. Not sure about the extra vit D. Best talk to your midwife x

I've been prescribed 5mg Folic Acid and told to stop taking at 12 weeks and then take Aspirin, but everyone is different x

Thanks, not been told about aspirin myself. I think my midwife said to stop at 12 weeks but I’m just over that and still taking it. Il call her when she’s back in on Thursday x

A few days isn’t going to make much difference. Most pregnancy multivitamins have the standard dose of folic acid in them, so a lot of ladies take it for the entire duration of the pregnancy.
