when do u hear baby heart beat for firs time

I am 12 weeks and the doctor could not hear the heart beat I am kind of worried but I try to stay clam. I ask him should I go to the er and he said no because there was good movement in the placentra and it sound good. I go back in 2 weeks to take a stess test and he is going to try again then . Help Please. What should I do ?

i wouldnt worry if your doctor has told you everythings fine then take his word for it try not to get to stressed its not good for you or the baby, have you been for your 1st scan yet ?

I wouldn't worry if I were you. I heard my baby's heart beat via doppler at my first prenatal appointment at 14 weeks. I've heard you can hear the heartbeat as early as 8-10 weeks via doppler if you're lucky. Usually by 12 weeks you should be able to hear it consistently. Your doctor doesn't seem all that concerned so try to relax a little.
