when do babies start dreaming?

last night when jack was in bed he kept suddenly crying out but by the time i got to his room he was fast asleep... and when i say crying out i mean it goes from dead silent to a scream in a matter of seconds, i didnt know i could run up the stairs so fast! just wondered if this was a dream or something? what do you think...

when Braydon has a nite terror he wakes up screaming and is standing in his cot (never does that at nite) as soon as i pick him up he calms and is willing to go to sleep again but as soon as i put him down he screams again
cant remember how old he was wen he started it tho

It sounds likely to be a dream/night terror. Jamie's only screamed out a couple of time before, made my blood run cold but he would be asleep straight away.
I thought babies start dreaming in the womb? Not sure what they would dream about in their mind!!

Jakob does it sometimes and has since he was tiny apparently they start dreaming at new born
