i have heard different things about this and was intending on starting some in the new year. thats not too late is it? Also, hubby cant attend the ones at my local areas. will i be abel to go to a different clinic for free?
It all depends on the services offered by your local Primary care trust. You should be able to get more infor from your midwife with a number to ring and book your place.
My local area do not offer antenatal classes but you can attend a one off, 1 hour maternity roadshow from 34 weeks onwards.........
I start my classes for 5 weeks. By then I'll be 32 weeks pregnant. In my area they have moved the classes to the evening so fathers can attend also. If the classes don't fit in with times you can make trying contacting the National Childbirth Trust as they run private classes. I'm not sure what the prices are like though.
Speak to your midwife, I saw mine earlier and she just gave me the date and time and told me to turn up.
My classes were started late at 35 weeks one a week for 6 weeks... but last nights was cancleled.. so ill now be 42 weeks pregnant by the time ive had all my classes, so long as they dont cancel again! hahaha
