Whats going on?

I'm new to this forum and not used to talking so outright so please be kind to me
We have been ttc our second,first one is 6 months now but i'm 42 and want to get another in quick if we can.So far nothing but this month has been strange as i have barely had any cm which isn't normal for me.
Would this mean that i didn't even ovulate this month?I was useing ov test but nothing ever showed on them and at no point did i feel as though i was ovulating,not that i have ever taken any notice as we never thought that we could have children anyway so i just never took any notice as to what my body was doing.Af is due in 3/4 days and test are showing neg.This has been a whole differant month for me and i have never had very little cm before.
Any thoughts on this will be very welcome

I'm no expert on this subject but from what I've heard on here and my own personal experience if you don't get any cm at all you might not have ovulated.

My doctor is starting to look into why I haven't fallen pregnant yet and he offered to do a blood test to see if I was ovulating. I pointed out I got a lot of stretchy cm and he said there's no point in doing the blood test then as that means I am ovulating...

All I can suggest is if you have another month or two like this then to maybe see your doctor...they can find out pretty quickly if you are ovulating or not.

Oh its a tough one, you may still have ovulated even if you didnt see a positive on the OPK's - first time I used them I used them twice a day and from very early in the month, its a good job I did as ovulated a week earlier than the previous month and would have missed ovulation altogether - one afternoon I tested and nothing, later that evening tested and dark line, next afternoon no line again - which meant I ovulated within a very short space of time............I know I ovulated (see my ticker!)

CM can dry up a little just before AF is due, so maybe one of the reasons why you dont have so much? I found my CM has increased two fold since getting my BFP!

One other point is I have never had a very dark line on OPK's (never darker than control line), so even though the instructions tell you the line has to be darker its not always the case at all!

It could mean you didn't ov this cycle or it could just mean your producing less CM due to being a bit less hydrated?

I know before I started TTC I got tons of CM but the month we decided to start TTC I had almost none, no changes in my diet or water intake so no idea why and it's never gone back to pre TTC levels. The month I did conceive I took the cough syrup that increases your CM and a spoonful of honey each day and it seemed to help increase it.

Not much help but good luck, I hope next cycle is clearer for you
