Hello everyone hope your all ok ifu have been wondering where i am i have been in hospital after being diagnosed with hyperemesis!!!!I thought it was food poisining or a bug but have never been so ill in my life after being sick for over 18 hours which started at 1am in the morning!!!My doctors where completely useless after phoning and going to see someone i took myself over to A and E where i was found to be seriously dehydrated had 4+ keytones in my urine which is suppost to be quite dangerous plus protein too!!So i was admitted where i had to have 4 lots of fluid pumped into me and antisickness drugs but it has just exhausted me and i have lost all faith in Doctors!!!While i was there i met another lady who is due exactly the same day as me and she has it bad this is her third addmition in 4 wks since she found out se was pregnant but she cant eat or drink anything she relys solely on the antisickness drugs to get thro life and once the tablets wear off she has withdrawel symptoms thank god im not that bad fngers crossed this was just a one off and it wont happen but it doesnt look that great most women have constant flare ups and have to go in and out of hospital to be rehyrated i had never even heard of hyperemesis let alone it was this bad!!!Who ever said that pregnancy was the best thing ever!!!!! xx

Thanks again Guys xx I am on the mend will see how i feel tomoro as to weather i return to work or not as my work is getting funny and the hospital said not to go back to work but to rest but with all the trouble i have had with the so called doctors recentally i doubt it very much they will sign me off!!!
Also after waiting all them weeks for my bloody midwife appointment it was only when i was in bloody hospital so i had to cancel it and will have to rebook god knows how long that will now take!!!!!

Hi,

I had hyperemesis with my last pregnancy, it was AWFUL and you have my complete sympathy. I too was in and out of hospital and had to take the anti sickness drugs untill about 17 weeks, unfortunately these don't stop you from being sick totally but do reduce the number of times you are sick so that your body has time to take in some water. i lost a total of 1 and half stone in the first 4 months.

I've just posted on here about how scared i am of it happening again this time. I really hope that is was just a one off for you. You did the right thing by going to A & E, I saw my GP a few times first and by the time i finally took myself off to hospital i was seriously dehydrated.
