What to wear to a christening?

This is my first christening that I am going to as a grown up mum with my partner and Olivia and I have no clue what to wear?

Do I wear a nice floaty dress, or dress down in trousers?

Im so confused?? anyone with any pictures or suggestions greatly welcomed! xxxx

Just dress in something comfy, smart and practical. You may have to dash out of church if your LO starts kicking up a fuss so make sure you have shoes you can walk quickly in I was a god mother not so long ago and I wore high waisted black trousers, a smart top, low heeled shoes and some nice jewellery

When i went i wore some tweed ( well tweed effect ) trousers, a waist coat and i wore loads of accssories. Kinda formal but still fashionable.
In fact al the women and girls at the christening were all dressed fashionable but not overly dressed.

For my Sons Christening last July I wore brightish colours and so did everyone else that came. Nothing too over the top but smart.
