Hi,
both me and my DH have terrible colds lately :( although i am taking every kind of precaution to avoid my LO getting it. thank god he still didn't but was wondering just in case he got colds what will be the remedy? i heared saline nasal drops? is there anything else?

If he gets a stuffy nose you could use snuffle babe. Its like a baby version of vicks, you can rub it in his chest or put it on a hankie next to him xx

It's a total nightmare - my LO is just getting over a cold & ut's been terrible for him. His nose has been streaming. :(

I've just been using a nasal aspirator before his feeds (which he hates) - it's basically a manual hoover for sucking out the snot from his nose :puke: so he can breathe easier whilst feeding.

At night I have a plug-in for his room - but these can only be used for babies over 6months.

And rub some vicks stuff on his chest (the stuff I have can be used from 3months)

Apart from that just lots of soft tissues for wiping his nose & putting up with unsettled nights until he feels better!!!

We use the Karvol plug-in vaporiser which says is suitable from 3 months.

Also, I've heard that if you raise the top end of the cot, that can help ease congestion. I've seen some places that sells blocks to put under the cot bed feet, but I guess telephone directories can do the job.
