What songs do you sing to get bubs off to sleep?

My favourite is Mockingbird. When I was preggers and we looked at mobiles for the cot, ones that played Mockingbird made me cry! I used to imagine singing it to James when he arrived and now I love singing it to him to get him to sleep.

I also sing Edelweiss and other songs from The Sound of Music (no wonder he goes to sleep so quick when Im assaulting his eardrums! He has to escape into dreamland quick!!)

What do you like to sing to get your LOs to sleep?

I can't sing her to sleep. She laughs. I don't know whether she enjoys it, or i really can't sing and she thinks it's funny. I sing all the time but it never sends her to sleep!

When Chester was a tiny newborn the only song that would get him to sleep was Amy Winehouse - Rehab, i'm not joking. Me and Chris would sit there at 2am leaning into the cot singing dreadful versions of it!

Now he likes

5 little monkeys jumping on the bed
one fell off and bumped his head
muma called the doctor and the doctor said
no more monkeys jumping on the bed

then down to 4 monkeys etc

Days I spend singing this chuffin song and still we haven't seen the bloody muffin man. It's got so bad that I get random texts off my Sis, BIL and friends asking if we've seen him yet!!!
