hya ladies just wondering what those of you who have had babies wore when you were in labor, and if a satin long sleeved night shirt may be too warm for me? x
I Plan on being in & out the water again. So I will probably just end up getting my kit off! I don't like nighties. I'm a boy shorts & vests kinda girl so I thought I might be comfier this time in that!
But to answer your question, you might feel a bit stuffy in a long sleeved satin nightie! I Remember being really hot during labour! xx
I wore one of hubbies t-shirts (when I wasn't naked in the bath!).
I was really cold in labour (random, I know as most ladies are boiling) so I was in my fluffy dressing gown, socks and slippers when I wasn't in the bath!!
The t shirt I turned up in, had no time to change or anything lol! Funny story though, I was so young and naive when I had my daughter I thought I'd just put a bump on in weight so as I was a size 8 before I though size 12 pjs for after would be plenty big enough, little did I know I had become a 16 and my daughters father had to go get me a nightie to wear instead!
I had jeans and a white vest on! wasn't what I intended but all happened so quick, jeans and pants were whipped off once waters broke so was naked from waist down and needless to say white vest didn't stay white for long! Go for dark colours!!
just take what u feel comfortable in, me id wear my night dress but i want to try a pool birth so i might just get naked lol or a vest ur bottom half has to come of anyway, just take a few things x
I'm hoping to have water birth, so will probably wear nothing, but if the pool will not be available, I'm planning on wearing my husbands shirt with buttons... It is a long sleeve one, but I guess I can always roll them up!
I have worn the same short nightie for my first two packed the same one this time. find nighties easier after too as loss can b quite a bit and saves on washing !!! xxxx
I'm hoping on a water birth so I've packed a bikini top & a couple of nighties for after & my dressing gown I get adjatated in pjs I'm more comfy in knickers & a vest to be honest So will prob pack a vest too need to get some socks though I'm not a socks person either but have bad circulation worried bout my feet gettin cold lol xx
I was in and out of spa pool at the hospital so was naked in there and then wore hospital birthing wrap for birth itself. Plan on doing the same this time round.
Will bring PJ's and some vest tops and wrap tops for afterwards though. Also have some really comfy wrap dresses and leggings which I'll wear for going home and once back home.
