when do you start to give water for a drink? can't remember

surely not as early as a week old??

Hiya if you are bottle feeding you can give sips of water right away.

if you are breastfeeding, there's no need to give any water at all as BM has everything they need.

Stanley has a little water everyday to help avoid constipation.

he sucks at the bottle a little but gives up when he realises it's not milk so only gets an ounce at most! :)

Do you give them cooled boiled water like you use for making up formula bottles?

when owen was born it was like a heat wave out here & it was getting up 2 38 degrees, he kept crying loads and just was too warm, when the hv came she said give him cool boiled water. he was about 5 days old.
