ARGH This weather is REALLY annoying me now!

I have so much I want to do with the boys, so many places... Stratford park and the butterfly farm, Conkers adventure playground thingy. The children's Farm, the lickey hills, I want to take them to PYO strawberries etc. I also want to take them camping to the seaside one weekend with OH... but it would have to be nice weather, I ain't doing it in the rain!

The weather is ruining it all! Right now it's chucking it down, when Brody wakes from his nap I want to get them out of the house for a bit but it might be yet another "raincoat and wellies" splashing in the puddles day.

Yesterday was rubbish too, Mason went to the cinema with our friends but me and Brody were stuck in making cakes and sticking. I like doing that with him but I think it's important to get out of the house everyday and so I MUST go somewhere later. Just don't know where. :? Tomorrow I am braving the indoor play centre

Where is the summer FFS!?

I was just away to start a thread about the weather!!

It has been nice here all morning, but as soon as my washing machine beeps to say it's done.... clouds so no getting to hang washing out! :(

I hate the weather like this too... when it is like this I have a permanent migraine due to the pressure in the atmosphere... I need it to have a good whack of thunder and I will be so much better!

:talkhand:

The weather is driving me nuts too. I'm stuck in with a bored 12 year old and a 4 month old.

OH has the car today so we have just had a walk in the rain to the local shops.

We are now watching 'Finding Nemo' and Sam loves it :D

Later we are making Refrigerator Cake :D

I was thinking the same. I have a 10 year old to amuse- this week isn't so bad as there is loads to do at MILs but if the weather doesn't brighten up next week i'll have a wet 10 year old I guess!

Know exactly how u feel hun, its sunny hear at minute but the clouds are gathering.

Its sunny here at the minute  So hopefully its coming your way Urchin. It was chucking it down tis morning.

Even though it is sunny I dont want to go out becuase I dont want to get caught in the rain lol that I know will start as soon as i get a way from the house

I'm just so glad I bought Brody and all-in-one rainsuit LOL he loves splashing, good job!.

I need to go out and buy a rolling pin for our biscuit making but I don't think that will amuse them for long :wall: :wall: :wall:

It's horrible here too and we are stuck in also. Got soaked just nipping into morrisons. Paris has gone to the playcentre with my brother and his son & my other nephew - he wanted to take them to digger land though but it's too wet :(

That is soooooooo true!!!!!

I've honestly not felt as crappy and low as i do at the moment for over two years. Those would be the two years i spent in the sunshine, out of the rain! Im fed up of it already. I hate this bloody country and i dont want to live here!
It doesnt help that i keep getting messages from friends back in Budapest telling me that its 36 degrees and sunny :(

Arrrggghh I agree totally. There's only so many indoor activities to do :wall: I'm going to take Brody to the library this afternoon they have a lovely children's section and I still haven't got him joined up yet!

I know what you mean this weather is depressing and people keep saying to me I bet your glad of it so your not too hot! Umm no I would like to see the sunshine to cheer me up, I have fans I can put on and nice summery maternity clothes im quite happy with the sun out as it is its hot and close and horrible but you cant go out without a coat, none of mine do up over bump and boobs so end up soaked anyway, all my maternity clothes is summer clothes as thats all thats been available until last few weeks (when theres no point buying more) so bar wearing 3/4 legs and flip flops in the rain I have nothing to wear! I love the sunshine it cheers me up really hope it gets beter soon!!!!

It probably isn't helping being cooped up in house even can't you all stick rain coats and wellies on and go for a good splash in the puddles just to get out of the house and kids love getting wet and muddy will all wash off in a nice warm bath afterwards, or there are indoors things you can do with the kids that don't involve being stuck in your house like swimming, there are usually alot of kids day out places that cater well for rainy days as well as the sun cause they have to in this country, camping in Cornwall probably wouldnt be much fun in the rain but there are at least places to take the kids where it wont mater too much if sun doesnt shine, my favourite being paradise park a parrot park but that has a huge indoor play area for kids with ball pools etc where you can take refuge and still have a good day if weather doesn't turn out to be any good.

Melanie it must be a huge shock to the system coming from all that sun to this depressing weather maybe you are suffering with abit of SAD - seasonal affective dissorder, where people find the winter seasons serious depressing (I know its ment to be summer but isn't exactly summery especially compaired to where you have been living!!) maybe a natural sunlight lamp would help to counteract it and make you feel less depressed

I'm the only one that is happy it's raining and windy. It means my neighbours aren't in their garden drunk, stoned and shouting and I can get some peace  . Roll on winter.

no no no Urchin you have not forgotten it WAS like that. I remember specifically in middle school it being sunny BEFORE we broke up for school holidays sitting on the grass at school making daisy chains, out door sports days and even classes on the grass. I remember walking home once broken up for the school hols, with sleves rolled up, and shirt tied round belley and sweltering, one year (the year I left first school) my friends mum walked me home and I remember seeing mum sunbathing in the garden as I walked up andbreaking down crying. It was sunny most of the holidays and even for a week or so once we went back to school.

fecking Climate change.

On the radio years ago I heard a sceintist say in 100 years or so we will have winter in June/july and summer in Dec/Jan if it carried on they way it way going!

Its been peeing it down all day and its cold, ive got a jumper on and putting the heating on. I am not happy I was hoping to get trhough orans 12-18 months clothes without having to buy him anymore till he is on 18-24 (sept time) as he only has a few jumpers but ive ordered about 5 jumpers in 12-18 now as I dont think his tshirts will make it lol.

I managed to get out and have a nice day

I asked Mason what he wanted to do and he asked if we could go round a maze LOL
so I took them to the Children's farm AGAIN cos they have a maze there.
They managed to feed the animals, go on the bouncy castle, on the rides, in the sand pit and down the zip wire.
When we were right in the middle of the maze (all covered in mud including the pushchair cos it was like a swamp)... it started to rain and I didn't know the way out :rotfl: luckily only a few drops then the sun came out for the rest of the day so it was not too bad at all!
