Was upstairs and I noticed something on the wall. Had a closer look and it was a bat, a tiny wee thing. Absolutley no idea how it had come in as the window was closed, we do sometimes see bats in our garden but never in the house. I took it outside and let it go. Have never seen a wild bat up close before, he was so cute. Am pleased my cats didn't get him first as that would have really upset me.

Sorry the photos aren't very good but I didn't want to get too close to scare him so I had to zoom in.

Awww bless him! We had one in my mum's room once. My brother came downstairs and said "mum there is a really big moth in your room" My mum tutted and when to get it and he said before she went in "seriously it's a really big moth" my mum laughed when she saw a bat sat there looking confused.

 Strangeness

Beanie that's so cute! Your bat rescuing beats my baby blackbird rescuing from a few weeks ago hands down ;)

Aww that's so cute.

I love those little things.

Awww so cute I love bats.
I picked up a leaflet at the meet, "how to make a bat box for your garden" :)

wow thats amazing, i have to say im glad it was ru house and not mine....

i woke up one morning to a bird in my my bedroom it was only a lil one but it really scared me, probably not half as scared as the bird was after i finished screaming, i had left my window WIDE open, its one of those windows that opns to be being flat

the neighbour came running round coz i "sounded like i was being killed"

hahah

i dont like birds they scare me hahaha

How lovely! Good job Peggy didn't spot it! :)

I can just see my cat's faces if they got to play with a BAT!

'Is it a bird? Or a mouse? Mummy, with this bat you are really spoiling us!'

Very cute!

Word of advice with bats - they can give quite nasty bites even with small teeth, they are also carriers of rabies.
Just to make you aware.

They are very cute!

Spent an hour chasing one round the surgery once when a good 'thinking' person - picked a sleeping bat out of the local toilets - and brought it to the vets then proceeded to open the box - "i found this bat in the toilets i don't think it can fly" and with that lifted the lid off completely and the bat flew out!!! I was NOT amused!! neither were the reception staff who helpfully went and hid!

When I was little I had one living in my room in Paddington bears welly no one would belive me till itscratched my brother, when my mum found it she left me on the potty and ran off screeming!
my dad let it outside.
I have a real fear of them wont go into the twilight zone at chester zoo
