Want new hair

So at the minute its a browny purple colour as I've put a temp plum dye on it. However i want it lighter brown with some highlights,if anyone watches neighbours then like jades from neighbours.

But i do use temp dyes a lot,i can't remember the last time i used a permanent one...oh said he thinks it still ruins my hair which is quite thin anyway and lots comes out in the bath or when straightening it, will it just ruin it if i start messing with highlights etc? X

It really depends on your hair hun, Ive had mine every colour going and never had a problem BUT I believe this is because I weekly put on for a few hours the conditioner you get with dyes as its more concentrated than normal conditioners. I went from dark plum to light blonde in 2 wks. I used colour b4 to strip colour then use belle color per-lighter then the colour I wanted but as it was prelightened it always turned out lighter.
Just to note I always use permanent dyes so u may b able to get away with a temp 1 xx
