My first time watching it.
Im a huge Johnny Cash fan.
It was amazing stayed up way past my bed time to see it, was all crying at the end.
Thought it was excellent when Junes mum and dad chased of the drug dealer with the rifles.

Ahhh, don't even get me started on this film! It's my all time favourite and I can't even count the number of times i've watched it (I have the DVD 
) but nonetheless I put Tira to bed on time and stayed up to watch it on TV 
Reese and Joaquin do a brilliant job on the vocals and they both had to learn to play an instrument each (Joaquin had to learn the guitar and Reese had to learn the autoharp) which must have been hard work but they pulled it off.

sorry to boast but my mum is a huge C & W fan, and Johnny Cash was her fav, so quite reguarly went to see him live at Wembley Arena when i was a child.
I love Johnny Cash and his music, it is quite amazing how much his music is used in films and adverts.x
my mum said that the film wasnt actually true to life. and on the subject of Joaquin, would definitely not turn him down. He is meant to be quite shy in real life. Was mad on his brother when i was younger. I still watch stand by me, whos eating gilbert grape and am loving him.

I grew up listening to Johnny Cash and I am huge fan of his songs. When I heard they were doing a move about his life I was gutted as most movies like this are rubbish but I was so shocked by it. I love the movie. Find myself watching it on DVD a lot!!

It shows what a performer he was, judging by everyones ages, his music reached all age groups. I still love one of his last songs "hurt" but i think that i read that wasnt written by him.
I think that it was love that killed him in the end. His beloved wife went 9 months before him. when i was 10 we went to America, included in this was a tour of Nashville, the coach took us outside his house. it was lovely. I am such a fan. It must have been great in America in the 50's and 60's with Elvis and Johnny Cash, both of who gorgeous.

At the end of the film it said June went 4 months before Johnny? Sorry if i'm wrong
I love River Phoenix too! He's so gorgeous in stand by me, that's another of my all time favourites. It's such a cute film, really is.
