Valentine's day

Hello Ladies,

I thought it would be fun to find out what everybody's Valentine's Day plans are? What are you getting for your other halves and are you doing anything special? How romantic are your fellas?

I feel love is in the air

I start: We agreed a long time ago that we don't need a special day to show our love as we do it every day (we actually do, sickening) But we always get a card and go for a meal which I am looking forward to a lot! I may even fall off the wagon for the day so a definite and then a lot

That sounds nice Kat, where are you two love birds thinking of going for a meal?

I fancied trying a Japanese style restaurant near us but think we have both now agreed to have a few nights to ourselves in (my beaus parents are able to have our daughter for a couple of nights). We said we didn't want to buy stuff this year and I have painted him a cheesy picture instead, he has already seen it and likes it phew! ..it's not one for the wall but thought it would be something nice to keep xx

Stacey, you are the sweetest. I love that you painted for him. Sounds great that it'll be just the two of you.
We are going to Hoggit & Hoof in Newbury. We will eat until we burst at the seams... Something to work off

What a lovely idea, painting for your OH! Wish I could do something amazing like that, I love personal gifts like that.

We are going for a meal also (but not until the 15th as OH is working until midnight on the 14th booo ) and then just getting each other a card, that is all, but love is definitely in the air!!

Hey thanks Although I'm a great art appreciator and can think of lots of ideas for pieces..I'm not very skilled at making them lol so felt a bit silly ..but he says he likes it and didn't pull an umm actually it's kind of crap face. I enjoyed doing it too ..was nice to zone out and had little madam on the acoustics (banging a strainer on a saucepan ha!). I might do something random /comical next.

I'm going to my pals with a bottle of red!! We don't do Valentines Day - never really have - although I am trying to get an eternity ring out of him! We've only been married 8 years this summer, and 2 children later I think I deserve one! Lol

We aren't doing anything. We got eachother cards (well actually I ended up buying my own card but he wrote in it) and that's all we will do. nice and simple.

I went to my best pals on the next street and we drank a bottle of Sambuca! Ha ha ha ha!

We don't celebrate and never really have! The 1st valentines we bought cards, but then re used the cards the following year and a couple more after that! Ha ha! Then they got chucked and now we do nothing.
