UTI - sorry if too much info!!

I had a confirmed urine infection at 6 weeks pregnant, suspected again at 10 weeks, then suspected again after my D&C (which was at 13 weeks after a missed miscarriage), although the second two were self-diagnosed and I got antibiotics without any urine tests.

Now, 6 weeks after the D&C it seems to have come back again. No burning, just need to wee lots and crampy pains and feverish / nausea on and off.

I just want the whole episode to be over and get back to optimum health, it’s really irritating. Has anyone else had these kind of symptoms or confirmed UTIs during pregnancy and after miscarriage / D&C? xx

Im sorry you are still going through this, have you ever had a uti b4 you were pregnant? I had a uti a few times after a d&c but it cleared up after ab's it could be if you didnt get your urine checked you could have been given the wrong ab if they dont have a urine culture to go on they usually give a broad one to cover most uti's but its not unheard of for it to be a bug that is resistant to it and it might need some other ab, or you might need a longer course.Have you contacted your dr about it?

Yes, I've had three during my pregnancy so far. Was diagnosed this monday again and been on antibiotics since then. The symptoms i get are a painful/sore lower tum where bladder is, and need to go toilet alot too. i also got a fever this time round and spent all night groaning with pain.

I'm drinking gallons of water to flush it out, but being full of water is uncomfortable too. Today I had another urine test and that was 'inconclusive' so I'm waiting for lab results to see what culture it is and if their gonna give me more/change my antibiotics!!

Im really fed up with water infections too now and if i dont keep drinking water my urine goes dark really quick..

i have had one but it has cleared up now, I am feeling lots better but yes mine was nausea as well and a fever and cramping.
poor you, i am going to try the old cran berry juice now I am feeling less sickk...oh and watch for the antiobiotics they have given me thrush sorry tmi x

Thank you xx I haven't seen the doctor yet but will go this week, you're right Claire, I need to get them to do a test rather than just give me antibiotics. Although I do feel much better today which is a good thing
