UTI - Antibiotics

hello.
I am a nurse and had a gut feeling I had a water infection as I had some very slight discomfort in my pubis since Saturday....

I took a urine dip from work and dipped it this morning and it’s nicely positive

Have any of you experience watermelon infections in pregnancy, be put on antibiotics, etc?
I am waiting for 8.30 to phone my gp surgery. But it would be nice to know what you’ve been through !

I had a water infection diagnosed at booking in. I had tiny symptoms but they found it in my urine test.

Antibiotics were amoxicillin (relatively weak) and all was fine after the week of them & it had cleared by my second appointment.

Seriously though I got 3 UTIs while I was pregnant. They put me on Keflax each time.

Never had a water infection but I've read that they are very common in pregnancy.

You'll be given low dose antibiotics at first. If you've never reacted to them then it's likely you won't while pregnant either.
