urgent cooking help needed

okay need help...got cottage pie made with pork mince which has all been cooked and then frozen..i took it out to defrsot for OH's tea but its sill kinda/icy / frozen.....what do i do ?

im always to cautious with prok/chicken especilly when frozen

Order a pizza? Sorry hun dunno, I'm veggie. I would say though probably just cook it now and for a bit longer than you would have if it were defrosted thoroughly :think:
 
cook it at a slightly lower temperature at first then at normal temp and add a little time onto cooking. So long as the middle is piping (and I mean take your skin off hot) when you serve it - all should be ok.

that's what I do and I'm still here
 
I would defrost in the microwave and then cook as normal.
Libs is right though, as long as its piping hot in the middle any bacteria will be killed.

well it was just to distinguish it from "oo oo bit warm on the tongue" hot

they are technical cooking terms :wink:
 
I used to be chef and you're right, we used those terms daily!!!
