Hi Ladies

I have been experiencing sickness most of the day so far throughout my pregnancy but yesterday and today I have had a really upset tummy.
It was so bad I left work early and when I got up for work this morning it hadn't gone away so I took the day off.

I am feeling really washed out at the moment, and am a bit too scared to eat anything incase last nights shenanigans repeat themselves!

Just wondered if anyone else has had this or if anyone has any advice on what I could try to eat as I need to get back to work tomorrow and would prefer to be better!

hi,

All i can suggest is dry toast or dry cereal, especially if you're being sick too. its a lifesaver when my tummy gets upset.

Poor u! It's horrible when you feel so rough.......you need to try and have something tho hun as I think you'll feel worse with a completely empty tummy and baby will be zapping all your energy. Maybe try dry toast or cereal like Hemera suggests or something with ginger in for the nausea (biscuits, tea etc)
If it doesn't settle don't go to work, u will only put more strain on yourself! See your GP or midwife if you can't keep anything in. Hope you feel better soon xx

Thank you Ladies, I am going to go and attempt some toast and see how it goes! xxx

Hi Ariel. I hope you're feeling a bit better by now. Isn't this pregnancy lark a laugh! I've had 2 bouts of upset tummy in the last 4 weeks. Thankfully they've both run their course in less than 24 hours and my midwife said it's not uncommon and is just due to the hormones. I understand the important thing is not to get dehydrated so maybe sip one of those sports drinks with electrolytes in it. Also I was recommend the B.R.A.T. diet for diarrhea - Bananas, Rice, Apple sauce and tea. Good luck!!

Hi Ariel,

you could also try the anti-sick bands that you can get a boots... I started wearing them a few weeks ago and it has made such a difference.... although you will need to wear them all the time.

Hope you feel better soon...
