For the last 2 days Ive started getting upper back pain which is unbearable at times.

Apparently its common in the third trimester.

Are you suffering?
Would a pregnancy massage help?

Is there anything that can help because a pillow on my chair is NOT HELPING! :( :( :(

I have had a pregnancy massage and ended up fainting as they were insistent I had to lie on my back.....

i would say get it sorted now, as I suffered terribly from upper back pain after my LO was born , and all the slightly hunched movements of bf and even holding him aggravated it and i felt like my back was literally going to tear. It turned out to be tight lower back muscles that were putting too much strain on the upper back joints, which in turn was pulling a rib and it was the searing rib pain i was feeling!

I honestly thought its just all the extra weight strain and didnt think it could be more.

I dont know where to begin. Shall I try an occupational therapist at work?

or private pregnancy massage?

Honestly dont know what to do.

I had this in the second trimester and it was baby pushing into my ribs making the back of my ribs hurt. I found it for better when I didn

You could see an osteopath or chiropractor also. That will help regardless of it being pg related or a general complaint. Start with a massage though maybe and see if that helps? A trained masseuse will know you can’t lie on your back in later pregnancy, they should only do it upright leaning over the bed etc x

I had upper back pain in my first pregnancy and am starting to get it again this time round... for me it is mainly across my right side and as high as my shoulder. I had physio-massage from a qualified practitioner during first pregnancy and it helped so much. I was sat upright but slightly inclined so there was no pressure on my belly and she could easily access my shoulders; it was heavenly x
