Hi girlies!
Just a little update on the Little Lady as I haven't really spoken much about her lately! Some of you know I was scheduled for a growth scan at 28 weeks as LO's head circumference and bi-parietal diameter were below average for my 21 week scan. Well, I had that scan last Monday and all is fine - she's still measuring slightly small but she's much closer to average than she was so they're no longer concerned that there is anything wrong with our daughter It was lovely to see her again and see how much she's grown. Unfortunately I was late for my appointment (damn taxi's) so the sonographer was quite stressed and told me he wouldn't have time to sex the baby as I'd asked for them to check she was still a girl! However when he started to scan me, LO was in a perfect position to have a look at her bits and he said as it was so easy he would have a quick look! She's definately a girl - saw the 3 lines extremely clearly (or her 'Hamburger' as Em put it ) I figured if everyone has to look at my bits when I'm giving birth she can have a few people oggling hers too The little minx was waving at us during the scan, and the sonographer managed to get us a rather funny picture - I think she's either giving us the peace sign or the 2 finger salute Have a look for yourselves and tell me what you think!
I had my bloods done last week too and I haven't heard anything back so I'm assuming my iron levels are all still fine, so I'm chuffed about that too being as I'm a vegetarian - I see that as a massive success. They had to take my blood pressure after I had my blood taken as opposed to before though, as I'm usually about 100-110/60-80 but mine was 130/90! The midwife asked me if I was nervous which clearly I was Teehee! It went right back down afterwards though so it was purely down to nerves. Everything else is going fine though, I am measuring perfectly for my dates and baby has been head down for the last few weeks so I'm hoping she stays that way in the weeks to come She's very active, so no concerns there either Am due to start antenatal classes in August, along with a breastfeeding workshop so I'm really looking forward to that, especially as I know the midwife who's running the class so at least someone will know me!
So that's about it really! Hope everything is going as well for everyone else here
