Hi all,
Maddison was quite miserable all day yesterday and hardly had any milk as she just kept refusing it but still took her solids albeit not as much as she usually would. She usually sleeps 7pm-7/8am without waking but last night she woke up at 3am. She didnt want anything to eat but wasnt screaming in pain or anything, she just kept crying when I walked back out of her room. After an hour and a half I took her into bed with me and she went to sleep for a couple of hours :? She was miserable again today and refused milk again. I'm just wondering if this is to do with teething or could she be unwell? :(

As her Mummy I'm sure you'd have an incling if you felt it was illness, so I'd be more likely to say it could be teething, as they usually want Mummy when ill or teething, and if she wasn't hungry, needed changing or windy, then probably is    There's always teething powders, bonjela or even Nurofen/Calpol if you feel she's in pain, just let her have plenty to chew on while shes awake, bickiepegs are great for that, very best wishes

Not sure Snuggle. Ash was fine when his first 2 teeth came through, I didn't really notice much difference.

But tonight he is awful! He woke screaming and screaming and I wasn't sure what to do. Maybe he's getting more teeth and they're just more painful that the first?

I don't know how babies get when they teeth, but what Maddison is doing does sound about right. Just not themselves and only soothed by mummy.

Thank you hun, I dont think she is unwell, she doesnt have a temperature and only cries when I'm away from her so I'm guessing it is teething and she just wants me to comfort her through it. Would just hate to think that she wasnt well and I'm just assuming its teething :?
Thank you very much for reply

snuggle.... you could be describing Ava, shes exactly the same as Maddie, although last night she went down at 7.30 woke up at 6am and woke up 7 times during the night crying!!!! Ava refuses her milk, so i have been adding as much as poss to her solids, shes soooo dribbley and moaney!!! i think they must be teething... i just hope it hurrys up :)
hugs to you and maddie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I agree with all the rest of the ladies.

I would say its teething. But keep watching her. If you notice she has runny nose or sneezing it might be a cold.

Hope she gets better anyways

Hi hun, Ava still the same? I hope it happens soon too, its a nightmare. Maddison is doing this thing where she screeches until her face is bright red (no tears though) almost like she is shouting as loud as she can  She sticks her hands in her mouth and bites down but when thats not enough she pulls her socks off and bites on her feet
Hugs to you and Ava too xxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for replies girls xx
