Underactive thyroid!! Help im scared

Hi,

I have managed to get to my 28 week point... Whooop whoop

However being high risk the doctor has requested I get diabeties,thyroid and heart echo on baby and myself.

The results have come back all good apart from my thyriod...!

The doctor states that its underactive and has requested I have another blood test to check again.

I have never been tested for this before and this is the only time I can remember that I have been tested and its under!!

Can somebody explain if this is ok ? I have read loads of contradicting things on the net and end up scaring myself...

Anybody else had this result when pregnant ?

Any help/advise will be great.

Hello I found out I have under active thyroid just a few weeks before I found out I was pregnant , it s been fine have blood test ever 4 weeks and see the consultant just to keep a eye on the dose any questions please ask x

Was everything ok with your pregnancy ? any complications because of this ? I have not had any med's as yet I am seeing my cardiologist tomorrow in hope that things will be ok...

For the record my results were 8.8pmol/L doctor states should be between 12.30-20.20pmol/L

It has caused no problems with the pregnacy all is well don't worry
