Ive only really spoken to one lady thats had one and the outcome of hers wasnt really very good.
Basically after the op her blood pressure crashed and she had to be brought back then haemorraged(sp) internally and needed a blood transfusion she nearly died .
When she recovered and went home she suffered with seromas (seroma is a sac of fluid which builds up between your skin and muscle - and obviously the skin and muscle need to sit together and "re-join" before you can fully heal) and so far has had to have 3 litres of fluid removed from her abdomen this could be more by the time shes fully healed. (op was about 7weeks ago)
Shes still not up to walking for long periods and to be honest she was a really healthy person before she had the surgery and had that amount of problems. She wouldn't recommend it, she had it due to loosing 7stone and in total lost 3.5 lbs.
But this is the only person I have ever spoke to about it and its a bit of a horror story! So I expect there is plenty that have had it and would recommend it. Like with any surgery you never know till its you how your body will take to it everyone is different unfortunately for her she didnt get on with it.
Oooo just read it back...she lost 7stone before the op thats why she wanted a tuck but then when she had the op it only took away another 3.5 pounds so she near died just for 3.5lbs of skin.
Are you thinking of having one? If you really want one then best thing is to go see a surgeon and see what they have to say, something that looks terrible to you may look completely fine to someone else
I think im guna need a tummy tuck one day When i was pregnant i only put weight on my stomach and it was MASSIVE. now from behind i look like a size 12 but from the front ive still got this huge belly and i cant shift it! i think when i eventually do its just guna be a flap of skin, it already looks like that if im sat down, so depressing and totally minging!
potentially. it depends what sort of mess this next baby leaves my belly in!
With James literally ALL my weight was on my tummy and boobs. Im apple shaped anyway so thats where i tend to put weight on. James was 10lb 2oz so he did a darn good job of stretching my skin and im sure having another one so soon is gonna do some damage as i havent had time to lose all my weight and regain the muscle tone i had before James.
I just feel awful cos Im so out of proportion. I can fit into size 10/12 pants that are hipsters but some size 16 tops dont fit cos of my boobs and im a 14 round the middle so Im sooo top heavy.
So Im thinking of getting a boob reduction - I think thats gonna be a definite, but I may consider a tummy tuck too - would be nice to get rid of the stretch marks and feel a little more confident again. But it depends on cost and Im a bit wary cos its such a big procedure...
yeh the thought of having surgery to correct my stomach scares me but sometimes i really do feel that desperate! I dont think ive brought any decent clothes for ages as soon as i walk in a clothes shop i feel sort of...nervous? im almost scared to try on clothes if that makes sense! Ive noticed i stare at other girls to thinking, i wish i could wear that. i hope they dont notice me looking!
Thats the only thing im pleased about is my boobs! i was a 32A im now a 34D so i want them to stay!
