lol might seem like a bit of a werid title to a topic but i was wondering if what I heard is true about when ttc or being pg that you cant be near cats or change litter trays as I have a little kitten and its a shame not to be near her lol
as raegan keeps coming near me and not knowing weather to pet her or not lol
am i just being silly?

Our kitten was 16 weeks when we discovered i was pregnant, i never stopped fussing him or handling him but i did avoid the littter tray, and still do! (Not that he uses it a lot now)! He is 10 months now and i havn't come to any harm!

Not sure about when you are TTC tho! If anything i think it will be just the litter tray to avoid! How can we stop fussing our little babies lol!

You can still touch your cat its the litter tray you should avoid touching something in their poo can be passed on to the baby but think you litterally have to touch it so just avoid that when pg. I have never stopped fussing my cats god they wouldnt let me. Thierry used to try and lay on my bump until he got kicked one day!

Hi Michelle, is your cat named after Thierry Henry? How cute :D

Yeah they were 16 weeks when I got them from a rescue centre apparently they were covered in fleas, I have a boy and a girl they are brother and sister from the same litter I named the girl Molly and let Ben name the boy being an arsenal fan it was either Thierry or Booby as in Robert Piries! I prefer thierry though! He's such a mummys boy dont think he liked my bump much it blocked his spot for laying on me!! Still I dont mind him being a baby after he got hit by a car I babied him!

You should avoid cleaning out the litter tray in case you get a toxoplasmosis infection. Or if you have no alternative to clean the litter tray as there's nobody else who can do it, just make sure you wear gloves.

Also, don't do any gardening without gloves as cats love to do their business in the grass/soil.

As the others have said, you don't have to avoid cats altogether, just their litter trays.

I have 4 cats and there's no way I could not go near them just because I'm pregnant. I love my cuddles with my moggies.

My DH took over litter tray duties when we were TTC and now obviously as I'm pg.
