Had a call back from my Dr today because I wanted to know how long we need to be trying for before we can get help etc. She said because of our ages (I'm nearly 36 and he's 43) she'll start tests now, so got my blood test tomorrow and then we can arrange for my other half to do his, but apparently there's paperwork involved. We've only been ttc for 4 months, but she said that it's not worth waiting the year because of our ages, something about only being able to get free fertility treatment on the NHS (Scotland, don't know if England is different) until I'm 40. Just thought I'd share the info she gave me incase there's other older ladies here in a similar position.
