Hello! I am brand new to this .. Just thought I would start this thread to share my journey with anyone TTC around a similar time!

My husband and I have been married just over a year and plan to start trying in July for our first child!

Cycle day 1 should be due on 8/7 and it can not come soon enough .. I'm sure this will be the only time I will it to arrive whilst ttc!! I have my ovulation app at the ready and started taking vitamins/folic acid earlier this month.

Any advice or general chat with anyone would be lovely! xx

Welcome! You don't have long to wait at all! So exciting!

I think you may be the earliest in here. We have a few from August though so we won't be far behind you! And a lot have jumped straight into tri 1!

Try to relax! I planned my first and we went away so we were as relaxed as possible and it happened straight away good luck!!

Hello, I've been married a month and were TTC our second baby. We tried for a year last year but nothing happened. I've ordered folic acid so will start taking that when it comes down. What Ov app do you have? X

I have got the ovia app .. Its really good but haven't really started tracking properly yet. Going to wait till day 1 of my cycle next week! Its all so exciting .. Going to try my best to stay feeling like this instead of getting stressed! :) xx

Hey Bella! I am starting TTC this July too! I've been married almost a year and this will be my first child. I am 29 and have been desperate for a baby since I was 17!! So relieved the day is almost here where I am TTC. Day 1 of my next cycle is due to start on 17/07. I've had a blood test to check my vitamin and mineral levels as I am vegan. My folic acid is too high so I've actually stopped taking the pre-conception vitamins! My iron was too low, so I am taking iron enriched water. Got to buy my ovulation sticks soon! Great to talk to someone who is starting to try at the same time! Would be great to keep sharing updates on how it is going! Nat :)

Hi Nat! I am exactly the same .. Ive wanted a baby for so long, but we waited until all our wedding/honeymoon was paid off and now are feeling really settled! Yes definitely that would lovely .. Especially around the tww which I believe and can imagine feels like a very long wait!! I haven't had any tests .. Would you advise to do this? I have been taking multi vitamins, folic acid, zinc and omega 3, but only for the past 2/3 weeks! My next cycle is 8/7 and I am wishing the days away! We are actually on holiday during my ovulation date so hopefully we will be relaxed and chilled out! xx

Thank you bella87 I shall download the app now, I have ordered me and DH some conception pills. Heard mixed reviews about them and they are so expensive, but anything for a little baby bean! Have you looked into them? x

Yes I can't imagine what the TWW is going to feel like! (I'm guessing that stands for two week wait?). Quite a few times I've wondered during those two weeks, could I be pregnant? Because we had taken a small risk, but have known the chances to be so slim! Will be great to know that there is a real possibility I could be this time! With regards to the blood tests, it is interesting to get a breakdown of all your blood serum levels of different things and it has helped me to know what to supplement and what NOT to supplement, so everything is at the optimum level. But I expect this is only really necessary if you have an unusual diet like I do. Once you are pregnant, a blood test will be taken by the midwife then anyway. I know what you mean about wishing the days away! Everyday seems to be going so slow now that I know the day is so close! All I am interested in the moment is things to do with babies and can't get interested in doing or talking about anything else!! Would recommend the channel 4 documentary bringing up baby by the way - really enjoyed that! Good luck! :)

Thanks Nat .. I might look into those tests with gp and see what they recommend. Yes its two week wait .. I am not very familiar with all these abbreviations! I will try to get that programme on 4od. I love watching things like this at the minute .. Especially one born every minute! It makes me cry every time!! I keep looking at baby clothes and nursery room furniture .. Its just all so exciting!!

MrsLM .. I haven't heard of these! What are they? I considered buying one of the ovulation kits but didn't want to put too much pressure on us both at first so maybe will have another look after a couple of months if we don't get pregnant! xx

I'm laughing here girls, I only joined this forum this morning and have spent half the day googling abbreviations to find out what they mean! Hahaha.

Bella87 they are the pregnacare pills, I think 'hers' are frolic acid and 'his' are zinc. I ordered them from amazon for £11. But that's only a months worth, and it says to take them 12 weeks before TTC, x

Oh I have seen those packs, I know what you mean now .. Sorry! I just bought mine individually and they were tescos own brand! Maybe I should have paid a little more for a proper pack! I read that too about the 12 weeks but I think the its most important in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy! I have only had mine a few weeks .. And will be trying from July!

I know I am the same! I joined a couple of days ago and I've been on loads .. Its lovely reading other posts and seeing what they are going through! You feel like you are the only one going crazy with it all but everyone is the same! xx

Ohhh we don't have a Tescos here :( is your OH taking them as well?

It really is lovely, we tried last year for a year and it was so lonely as I couldn't talk to anyone. I got so down thinking I was the only one in the world going through it. Xx

Thanks Bella! Just watched one born every minute. Think I'm going to get a bit addicted to that! Thanks for the recommendation! I'm the same, my husband stops me buying any baby stuff yet, but I secretly bought a baby's duffel coat off a second hand vintage stall! I agree - It is all very exciting! xx :)

There is a page somewhere where you can read what all the abbreviations mean. I'll try and find it for you.
I've been here almost 3 years (not TTC I had my boy 2 yrs ago) and I still don't know them all, but you'll soon get to know the important ones!
