So people have babies all the time and I've always thought I would have one.... But since we've been starting TTC, I want it so bad, I so want to be a mother, but at the same time, the thought of a baby growing inside me and becoming a mother just seems so surreal, so far away, unbelievable, even though I symptom spot every month!

And with so many of my friends are becoming first time moms, I'm in a state of constant amazement and envy and it all just seems so magical and crazy... These are crazy night shift ramblings.. But anyone else feel that way too? Like that being pregnant for the first time would be so amazing but also so so surreal?

Gaahhhh I just want it to happen! <3

Yes, I can't really imagine it happening to me...it would be like winning the lottery.

Same. I can't imagine how it would feel. My whole life I knew I would struggle to have a baby and bo one believed me until now
I just don't know what else you do to fill the time and gaps watching everyone doing stuff with their kids

I was exactly the same when we first started trying 2 years ago, it seamed like it wouldn't be possible, I couldn't imagine it!
But that'll soon pass and it will start to feel like the most natural thing in the world xx

Good to hear I'm not the only one! Alexis how odd that you just felt it wouldn't be straightaway, I guess I've had the opposite experience... And sunflower, it would be even **better** than the lottery if or when it happens!! Waiting to find out how it would feel.... Xxx good luck to you all as well

I totally agree. I feel like it's never going to happen :( I have a really hectic lifestyle at the moment with long working hours, commuting, doing university and I also have been trying to throw myself into hobbies that I've put off for years and years saying I'll do them when I've time. It's the same with ttc...if u wait for the right time you could be waiting haha we will have to reorganize our whole life for a little one but it'll be worth it x

It's definitely a surreal feeling and for me (became a mum earlier this year), it continued to be surreal even whilst pregnant with her. It was only after she was born that it felt 'real'. And yep, we did feel like we won the lottery when we got our BFP;)

I'm feeling very much like it may never happen :( OH and I were NTNP for a couple of years with no BFP in sight. Now we have actively been trying since May and still no BFP! I just want for us to finally have our baby although I can't even imagine how it would feel to finally see that second line on a test :( Also doesn't help that there is a major baby boom in my area at the minute, every week or so seems to bring a new pregnancy to somebody I know and the first thought that comes to me isn't congratulations it's why can't it be us? I have just started fertility investigations though so hopefully that will finally bring us to our first BFP.

Pidgeridoo are you in the UK? Interested in how you can get fertility tests early.. I've been actively trying since May as well... Hopefully it happens soon for us. Lucky Laura, definitely feel you with the hectic thing, but I'd give it up to be a mum! <3

Yes I'm in the UK (N.Ireland, things seem to be done slightly different here than in the rest of the UK) OH and I were NTNP for about two years although regularly DTD and hitting around the correct time every month. I just explained this to my GP and he was then happy to refer me further :) We have literally only started investigations though with me having my bloods taken last week, getting my results Wednesday so FX all is good :) Have you talked to your GP yet? :) Hopefully it will be our turn soon! :)
