travel cot

im thinking of buying it so i can stop in the hotel on the august meet
is it easy to carry round bareing in mind i will have a pram

I'm after a travel cot too, not really looked into it much but know I need to get one .. and don't know what we're having yet so can't get a pink or blue one!!

Mine is exactly the same but I bought the Samsonite one instead. Was happier to have a branded one with a warrenty type thing. Personal choice though, design wise it's exactly the same. Cost £49.99 from Boots, I know it's a tad cheaper online but when you add in postage etc it's roughly the same anyway. Bought it for holidays as can't stand the thought of using hotel cots that other babies might have thrown up in or pooped in etc. It looks great but obviously I've not used it yet. The downside to reviews on the bubble cot is although stated to the 18 month marker that babies who can roll over etc can knock them over, so from about 9 months I'm not sure I'd use it overnight....that will of course depend on LO's movements and ability etc.

I like those types of cot but they tend to weight anything from about 8kgs upwards (some as much as 15kgs) which is fine when travelling by car or taking a caravan of course but airline baggage allownace is just 15kgs per person and a cot would basically be half of that if not more. Hense we went for the Samsoninte at 3kgs it's much more reasonable for flying with even though the others are more cot like and can be used as a play pen etc when needed too.
