May be a bit of an obvious question but I love spinning every week and was just wondering whether any body knows whether I can still go now Ive got my BFP? If not do you know what I can do? xx

How long is your class, and do you get totally knackered (exhausted) by the end? I have carried on with some my gym classes, my spin is only 30 mins. I make sure i drink loads and get loads of rest after!!!

I went spinning just after I got my gfp and nearly fainted and fell off my bike! It was an hour long class and very near the end
but after that I stuck to lighter classes. I'd check with the instructor and see what they say.

the last 2 weeks we just did 30 minutes spinning and 30 minutes med ball excercises, must admit though I did find it a lot harder this week but couldnt understand why lol! I'll definately have a word with him and maybe just have to take it down a gear. Thanks for your help ladies x

Hey. Congrats on ur BFP :-) Wen I was doin my instructors course they said spin classes are safe to do whilst pregnant as they are low impact. Remember to alter handle bar height so that ur not bending over. Drink loads throughout the class and afterwards. However from personal experience I haven't been to class since I got BFP and from someone who was teaching anything up to 6 classes a week that is a massive thing to give up. The reason I did so was I wouldn't enjoy it the same not being able to push myself to the extreme, sweat loads and burn excessive calories every time. I just decided that after birth I would get back at it and use it to help get baby weight off. :-)

So to answer ur question - yes u can do it if u remember to adjust bike set up, drink loads throughout, keep an eye on heart rate and don't overheat. x

Hi Hun, I go to the gym 3 times a week and I also do aerobics. My instructors told me that's it's fine to carry on at the Same level you have always done. I took it a bit easier during tri 1 just in case! But I'm exercising as normal now unless I'm having a knackered day, then I take it down a notch!
Best to speak to your instructor and also listen to your body. You'll know if you're doing too much. X

thankyou for the fantastic advice ladies, I really would like to keep going as I needed to lose 4 stone and Im already half way there since January. Really appreciate your replies xx

Hi hon

My instructor told me not to do it until 12 weeks. Was a bit gutted but I've been so tired anyway I've not wanted to!

I think it's a personal choice as I know some people carry on but I'm super paranoid!

Xx

Thanks Looby, Im a bit paranoid too (you'd think with it being my third I'd be a bit more relaxed lol). xx
