I turned off too.

I worry that my Stanley will be fat, the whole thing scares me :(

do u over feed stanley?

those children were overfed - thats why they were fat.

No, never knowingly. But I don't think some of these parents realised exactly what they were doing either. :?

We live in a world where we surrounded by food. I hope I would have the knowledge and common sense to keep Stanley slim but I don't believe there's guarantees.

If the figures something like 20% of children are overweight, I can't accept that 1 in 5 parents don't give a sh*t about wht they're feeding their children.

I know what you're saying, I just worry it's not so black and white. I'm a little overweight myself, it's easily done!

im a little over my desired weight too minxy but thats a different matter to childhood obesity because we are adults and responsible for ourselves. :)
So long as Stanley is getting exercise and eating healthy and not eating excessively on crappy food like chocolate, crisps and junk like macDonalds then you won't have a problem.
Your kids are what they eat. :)

I missed this show!
I dont over feed the kids, and they dont eat loads of crap so I tend not to worry about them!
My Dillon was always a little bigger than Joseph for example but some kids are! Some children carry more weight than others or look like they do! Dillon is a different build to Joseph so I never compared them to each other!
I think it is terribly wrong when a parent does think it is ok to feed their children on junk all day every day!
People who do not realise that they are over feeding their children is a completly different thing!! The people who make their children fat while knowing the food they are feeding them is bad, that is where I have the problem! I have been in my local shop and saw an overweight child, her parents buying her a packet of crisp, bars of chocolate and all sorts, then letting them eat them all there and then!? That is something I cant understand! And knowing that this same person is more than likely going to go to the chippy etc for tea!
And also someone said that people wouldnt comment if a child was skinny? Well i think you would find that they do!!
A very skinny child to me is just as worrisome as a child who is over weight!
My cousin is very very skinny! Now I have seen her eat so I know she is eating ok but people are always commenting on her weight! My aunt has repeatedly been questioned about what she eats and had comments of everyone in the street about how she needs to "fatten her up" the school has even asked her DD if she gets fed at home!!
People always feel the need to comment on something that they dont see as right! Whether they know the situation or not! I think it is just common nature!
