Tinzaparin injections

Is anyone on these? I've been on then for 5 days now and last night's was awful. They all sting but last night was quite painful and as my partner was pushing the plunger there was a lump forming straight away. It was hard and was stinging so badly. Is this normal? I remember having blood thinner injections after having my son for a week but I don't remember anything like this 😢

It can be normal. It helps if you pinch a good bit of fat and inject there? Also try and use a new spot every day

Thanks, last night's was much better so maybe it didn't go in at the correct angle. There is plenty of fat to pinch on my tummy will keep at it and alternate sides from now

I'm on them, 4500 units daily. And low dose aspririn. I have always injected myself. I though about hubby but I've found the areas that don't hurt as much now. You get used to them after a few weeks they become easy X why are u on them? X

I'm on them for high BMI I think mine are 9000 units due to my weight the last two nights haven't been too bad so hoping the other night was just a case of hitting the wrong layer or something. I need to take them until.a week or two after birth xx

Yes some part kill more than others. Have you tried to do it yourself it hurts a lot less than when someone else does it. I have to take them for another 7 months and then post parting for a blood clot disorder X

I don't think I could do it myself, just the thought of sticking a needle in to myself makes me feel sick. Ooh 7 months and I'm here singing at 10-12 weeks xx

I don't mind them now. I honestly felt the same once I'd done the first few I thought ah this is ok and carried on. X
