tightening

Hi,

was wondering if anyone else had this but every few hours my uterus well I think thats where it is, but where the baby seems to be seems to get hard and tight and a little but crampy, is this normal and does anyone esle get it x

Going on personal experience I would get a water sample tested, a UTI can cause tightenings as the infection irritates the uterus. I have had recurrent infections this pregnancy and every time the first sign and only symptom has been tightenings - even when a dip test says there is nothing there - the sample has been sent to the lab. A weeks course of antibiotics will clear it up if it is an infection

Sounds like braxton hicks, harmless enough. If they do get quite frequent and they're uncomfortable then it maybe what Rosies mummy said. Xx

yeah I ve had alot of Uti this time and been on antibiotics and then they give me thrush!!! not good haha, what about the braxton hicks can they come this early on in pregnancy xx

id prefer the UTI over thrush any day lol.

I had a UTI, got thrush from the antibiotics, then the thrush gave me another UTI, wtf!? So now I have both, Im not comfortable.

I get tightenings everytime I've been working! Think it is braxton hicks! Kinda hoping it's not a uti!!

Think it's more likely a uti if you get a lot crampiness with it. I do remember having both with Dominic and there was a difference between them although I had quite a bad uti that went round my back and everything!
