Oliver has developed a horrible pastime of throwing things around the room! He does it with everything and somethings quite hard. He also smacks anything that walks past! He got me a right smacker in the face today. what the hell do I do with him? We've tried telling him it's wrong, removing anything he throws and not getting it back. I'm at a loss. I'm hoping it's just a phase, but what if it isn't? Any ideas?

Hebe grabbed. Grabbed the dogs, my face, hair.....when she was excited in particular. I just kept telling her not to do it and why and she eventually stopped - it's likely a phase hun. :)

Sam used to throw things when he got frustrated. I just kept telling him calmly not to do it, and to put things down gently - and lots of praise when he did - and he's so much better now. I think they all go through a phase of doing something like that

I have a food thrower  When she's done you have to be quick because she could throw javelin for Ireland

i've got a thrower too! especially her sippy cup after her meals...poor dog gets hit atleast once a day...serves him right for sitting under the high chair  dont think it helps that we play throw and catch type games and i clap when she throws the ball back!! am starting to get a bit worried for my mum's ornaments now tho!!

When Hebe's done with her milk the cup gets launched! The dogs have had it round the head a few times!

Sam's the same with any unwanted food and empty cups  Especially when we've had a big day out and he's tired and grumpy at dinner

I'm at my wits end with Caitlin!

Yesterday she put her heavy camera in her little bag and whacked Megan round the head with it! Food just goes OFF the table when shes decided shes had enough!

Throwing stuff around the room I try to ignore or just say "no" but shes doing it with a tantrum now sometimes ...mardy pants!

Sam seems to get worse if I pay any attention to it at all with food - if I'm desperately trying to pick up bits of pasta as he tries to fling the rest of it around the room he seems to think it's hilarious

I've got a nipper, i just keep saying no and removing my skin from his grasp. I'm hoping this will work

Our dog gets nuked with the sippy cup after every meal but she insists on sitting under his highchair

lol when katies had enough food, she looks over the edge of the chair to check the dog's there, then looks back at you all innocent, whilst reaching over the edge dropping some food to him. i think she thinks if you're looking at her face, you cant see her hands

 yes seen Jack throw food over his shoulder too
