Also, am I the only person who has ever worked full time? I assumed many people do and that shops were empty during the weekdays, but since starting my maternity leave I am gobsmacked at how many people are not at work - I know people are part time or have days off in the middle - but really, there are millions and millions of people not at work!!

I thought that too! I thought that if I went to the supermarket in the middle of the day it would be quiet.
It has to be said that in Torquay town centre in the middle of the day, a high proportion of people are the "great unwashed" (I'm no snob :rotfl: )

:rotfl: hahaha. I've got the week off so went to Torquay Primark today to stock up on cheap long tops (to streeeetch over bump). And made this exact comment to my mum!!!

Ditto Trago Mills :rotfl:

Or you would think so had you just been to my local ASDA!

I went to go and get a duvet cover and I couldn't believe how many people were there  Seriously it was heaving, people were driving round and round the car park looking for a space and inside was very scary (especially when you're 36 weeks preggers!)

I know the shops are shut for a few days, but seriously, people were buying food as if the world was coming to an end! It was mental!

:rotfl: Trago is skank! Got some really cheap carpets there for my old flat though

The bottom end of Plymouth city centre near the colin campbell carpark isn't much better either, Plymouth must have the highest ratio of poundshops per person in England! :D
