Or you would think so had you just been to my local ASDA!

I went to go and get a duvet cover and I couldn't believe how many people were there  Seriously it was heaving, people were driving round and round the car park looking for a space and inside was very scary (especially when you're 36 weeks preggers!)

I know the shops are shut for a few days, but seriously, people were buying food as if the world was coming to an end! It was mental!

Also, am I the only person who has ever worked full time? I assumed many people do and that shops were empty during the weekdays, but since starting my maternity leave I am gobsmacked at how many people are not at work - I know people are part time or have days off in the middle - but really, there are millions and millions of people not at work!!

i read that title and nearly fooking cacked my pants, dont do it too me my tena ladies are smart price

haha yes I know what you mean! I work nights in a building opposite an asdas thats open 24 hours, and last wek I went to asdas to get some "lunch" at 2am, and it was bliss!!!!!!!!!!! No queues, no-one hogging the aisles or standing in front of a product I want to get to, no need to trolley dodge, it was great lol

oh and FYI, the end of the world (as we know it) happens 21st December 2012

I still want pressants, a few days before crimbo wont hurt, i aint missing out

I am really not happy about the world ending on my sons birthday, how inconsiderate. I suggest they pick a different date as that's soooo not convenient :shakehead:

I used to work in a supermarket until maternity leave started last week and it is surprising how many folk are about during the day. Round here there are a lot of housewifes whose husbands are too rich for them to need to work. Bitches!

lol sorry I didnt pick the date....actually its just the date when the Mayan astrological calender ends....I dont think it means anything other then thats just how far they got. Considering that was a few thousand years ago its pretty impressive!

Some people think it means the end of the world (again lol) and some think it means something major will happen to bring about a new era of peace. I know which one I would prefer lol, im sure shopping in asdas could do with a bit of peace and harmony

Isn't today pension day? Never go shopping the same day as pensioners :shakehead: They are either at the supermarket or at the hairdresser's :D

It was the same in Sainsburys! Just like Xmas! People had loaded their trolleys to the brim!

our tescos have reduced their eggs already, so everyone was filling baskets with eggs.

Ive never had problems parking in the tescos car park, until today!

I thought that too! I thought that if I went to the supermarket in the middle of the day it would be quiet.
It has to be said that in Torquay town centre in the middle of the day, a high proportion of people are the "great unwashed" (I'm no snob :rotfl: )
