third scan?

i went to see my GP for a throat infection, and he was asking me how my pregnancy was going, how far along i am etc. when i said 29 weeks he said 'oh, so you've got another scan coming up then?' i just said '... not that i'm aware of!'

do you get a thrid scan as the norm?

12 and 20 weeks is normal. Any extra is down to other circumstances. I had 2 extra but because i was measuring small.

2 is the norm, so your GP must be having dim day.

How strange that he said that 12 and 20 weeks are the normal scan dates if everything is normal.

Yeah I havent heard of another scan either!? Unless he is presuming your going for a 4D one or something which is odd as he shouldnt presume that?!

i thought it was odd too, i didn't think you got a third! i'll mention it to the MW maybe i can make her give me a third one cause the doctor got my hopes up!

Sounds like your healthboard has a healthier budget than ours We only got a 12 week scan, no 20 week scan offered here let alone a later one
