i'm kinda stuck! i need thing they can both do! going outy type stuff is kinda outa the question, cos K gets fed up sat in the pram and obv cant get out! and at home, E seems more interessted in trying to walk than sitting and playing (not that she'll try and walk with her walker, just pushes around my furniture )! anyway, i get the feeling she's getting bored! help meeeeee!!

I would like to see what is suggested also, coz I'm at a loss as well xx

its really hard isnt it! i mean, my two are at a similar stage walking wise, but in terms of toys, Ks miles ahead (like she should be lol) i've got tonnes of toys, but none that they seem interested in anymore :dohh:

what about swimming? although it may be hard with 2 similar in age hmmm its hard to think!! x

go to the park? or the forest and get them to find different bits of twig and stuff and then make pretty mosaics on cheap cotton canvas (which you can buy from a fabric shop) paint massive pictures outside on canvas then cut out the best bit and frame it?

bake cakes

make macaroni art

etc

swimmings impossible  they wont let you take two so young on your own anyway, even if K was walking! and the collecting twigs and stuff is out too cos neither of them can walk! and Es too young for arty stuff! argh its a nightmare this stage!!!!

See jake likes to go to the swings but then Lucas gets bored in the pram. Neither of mine walk so wherever we go they are stuck in the pram. I can't go to toddler groups because I can't run after jake while he crawls off and leave Lucas unattended. It's just a nightmare!!

Like yours Alice mine are to young for art and baking! I might go for a walk on the park. Lucas enjoys looking at trees and stuff and jakey likes to 'chat' about what we see xx

she might be too young to make art, but i am sure shes not too young to collect twigs with mummy, throw some paint at a wall or look at pretty flowers, that way you are engaging her whilst making cool stuff with the older one

Neither of her girls walk chick, sha can't go collecting stuff xx

Oh, blimey... well maybe save that one for later then ;)

i would just make tonnes of cakes :)

BB, the main problem i have is that my youngest one wants to be walking and will not sit still for two seconds! which means i cant do stuff with K and leave her to watch! paint and stuff she'd just eat! cakes are out the question cos she'd just cry at me cos she cant help!

toon, i'm exactly the same with toddler groups! i only go to one and ghats only cos i know the girls there will chase one of them for me if needs be! i have them both going opposite directions tho

i might try the petting zoo! although the weather's so shite atm! and i'd end up carrying K cos she wants to get closer to the animals and stuff!

stuff to do:

Music time - singing nursery rhymes with musical instruments (or wooden spoons and bowls) also can help with speach/recognision of animals etc
Imaginary play - pretend to cook/play with dollys
Playdough/drawing - less messy than painting
Baking - fairy cakes or rice crispy cakes are so so simple and great to get the kids involved in
Dancing - stick the music on and let K shuffle around to the music whilst E bops along

will think of more.. im in work atm!

doh should read posts before posting myself

ooo thanks terrie!!! the dancing and singing i know they love! and i can dance like a loon and burn some calories too

E wont sit still long enough for that  K loves sitting with me now for books, though i make her "read"

making them 'read' is great!

simple puzzles (like two halves ones)

Singing nursery songs and doing the actions to go with them, all ages love that.
Colouring
Puzzles
