The wedding ring

I'm sure this one has been brought up lots of times but we done it again today and I was kinda curious to see what other ppl make of it?
(You know where you get someone to dangle a wedding ring over your bump and if it swings it's a boy and if it spins it's a girl)
We tried it when I was pregnant before and it spun and my baby was a girl, I dont acctually know anyone who said it was wrong when they tried it on their bumps.
This time it spun too we've done it about 10 times.
(I dont take this too seriously btw I see it as a bit of fun, was just wondering)
So has anyone else done it?? And more importantly was it right??

my ex friend done that only she done it with her grans wedding ring and said it was a boy both times and both times were wrong

i couldnt do it with my own wedding ring as im not married but still working on that part

i haven't done it as I heard it was bad kuck to take your wedding ring off so therefore it hasn't been off since it was put on during the wedding ceremony!!

i did it but read if it went clockwise it was a boy anticlockwise a girl....mine came out boy but on your theory it spun so would be a girl...no idea if its right or wrong though yet
