And you said you wouldn't start looking yet!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm 15+1 now, my 20 week scan isn't until April 10th, so for now I'm team yellow (but will 100% be finding out).

With my little boy we didn't start looking at names until we knew what we were having. My theory is if I look at boys and girls names, I'll like one name more and hope for a boy or a girl when I really don't mind, then I'll feel guilty about it.

Anyway, OH and I stayed at my Mum's over the weekend and we were casually discussing names. Now stupidly I've got my heart set on particular names. Doesn't matter too much because OH and I are on the same page (amazingly) for a girl, but he doesn't like my name choice for a boy!

Anyway, as you might be able to see in my ticker, we have a Caleb Samuel.

For this baby I like:

Zara Kathryn

Reuben Joshua

Kathryn is my Mum's name so we're set on using that as a middle name for a girl. Nobody seems to like the name Zara, but whether it's a shop or not, I love it! Better to be called Zara than Primark right?

Thoughts? xx

I really like Zara. It's different and not used a lot which is something I look for in names.

I love Zara Kathryn. To be honest I would never have thought of the shop. Its just a pretty name to me xx

Thanks ladies. I feel the same way that I like it because you don't hear it too much and it's not too out there! The last name is Jepps which isn't that common either, so I like more unusual names to go with it, that's why I picked Caleb for our LO.

It's funny because the name choice came out of me talking about me saying if we have a girl she might as well be called Zara so I don't have to write her name in her clothes (I'm in love with Zara Baby) and then OH jokingly said Zara Jepps... Then he said he actually really liked it, this was before I was pregnant and he's still set on it. It's not normal for him to like a name, with Caleb he said "well if nothing better comes along we'll call him Caleb" and that's as good as I thought I'd ever get!!

In my family I'm known as a shopping addict so people automatically thought of the shop. I'm not fazed though. I love the name, it has an arabic meaning which is important to me being half arabic and having an arabic name myself. Plus my name has a Z in it as well, so I love that it does too!

I know I'll end up on team blue now!!

Both names are nice and sound too unique. But Zara is different and honestly I like it much. It sounds very nice flow-able & easily pronounceable.

Zara is beautiful, it's very popular in the Asian community near where I live and as a teacher I've taught a few Zarah/Zahras! I've always loved it but my OH doesn't :-( x
