Oh my, what skilled staff and what awful injuries! I grew up in a village for 'the war blinded', in fact my parents still live there. My dad was blinded in Aiden when he was about 19. We were the youngest family in the village, most of the other men (and two women) were veterans of WW1 and WW2, and to think most of them were lucky to survive then, but how war and medicine has advanced is frightening. I have complete respect for all the men and women past and present who are serving our country.
