You can't use that one during labour hun :(

"This TENS machine is not suitable for use during labour"

I remember seeing that when I was looking for one.

I didnt see that sorry! Have you triied tescos pharmacy I noticed that they had a mama tens machine for 25 pounds the other day.

I hired one for the same price and then sent it back once done. They let you hire it for up to 6 weeks :)

Chances are I won't use one again if I have another baby so didn't want to spend money and then have to sell it on at a loss.

And that is not a labour one so don't get it. You need to get ones designed to use while in labour.

For what it's worth the Boots maternity TENS is £45. I bought one, used it and then sold it without the pads for £30. That was half the price of hiring one!

TENS machines sell well on ebay, I nearly bought one from there and for an extra £5 or so I just bought a brand new one instead.

You should recoup the majority of your money back on a tens machine if you sell it on ebay.

Sorry girlies had a preggo moment should I get one??

If you mean the one you linked to, then no.

If you mean should you get a TENS for labour, its up to you. You may find it useful, you may not. That's the down side of it is you won't know till labour happens and you put it on and start slowly cranking it up.

Personally I used it during my 2 days of latent labour at night so I could snooze inbetween the contractions. I just hit the button while sleeping. In actual labour I wore it for about an hour, maybe 2 in the early stages, about 3 hours in. In the end I took it off as I didn't really like it and found it more annoying than anything else. I got in the water then and found it so wonderful (are you hoping to use a birthpool? I'd strongly recommened it).

Yes I was planning on using the pool as my main form of relief...
