Hi Ladies, was just wondering if anyone could help me. My daughter feels really hot to touch and i was wondering what is classed as a high temperature for under her arm. She isnt too keen on me touching her at the moment and seems really grumpy :( Thanks in advance x

Aw my LO (nearly 1) is the same! I rang NHS direct! Says 36 to 37 ok, 38 slighty high 39 needs calpol and calprofen! Also told me to open window strip to vest, lots of fluids and don't sponge or fan them! But sorry I suppose u know that already! X

Thanks, i have her in just her pants but she has a blanket on as she says she is cold even though she is hot to touch. Got plenty of fluids for her but she is being a bit reluctant to eat or drink. Did try ringing our docs to speak to someone but its like trying to get hold of someone that doesnt exist, on hold for 20mins and gave up x

do you have a thermometer? If she is really hot to tough then she will more than likely be running a temperature. Especially given her mood too. Do you have any calpol? give her a dose and try and bring her heat down. If you have a thermometer then take her temp and record it each 10 minutes to track it.

give her plenty of fluids,
