i think melissas teething, she been crying loads and drooling and biting her fist. gave her calpol and she been on my breast nearly all day for comfort, think 2mro i should get her something topical for the pain. is powder best or bonjella? which brand is the best? and is it safe 2 use with calpol?
thanx

yeah they are fine to use with calpol. I always use anbasol but bonjela and calgel are ment to be good too. i use the anbesol cos its easier to put on cos its liquid. i have tried the powders but only a couple of times so can't really comment on them.

Aaawwwwwwww bless her, it's awful knowing they're in pain isn;t it  Let her bite on your finger/hand, that helps soothe Isaac anyway, I find that he prefers skin, if we try any kind of soothing toy he doesn't want to know. You can use a baby type bonjela I think I've heard someone mention one, hopefully they'll post here? But remember If you are breast-feeding, you should avoid using them immediately before a feed as they can numb your baby's tongue making it hard for her to suck successfully. They might also numb your areola (the dark skin around your nipple) making feeding difficult for both of you. Hope she's feeling better today
