Teething on cot rail

Just discovered some bite marks on LO's cot bed rails. Think I'm going to need to get a teething rail, but our cotbed has quite a wide rail so I'm not sure if I can get one to fit. Our cotbed is a Mamas & Papas Horizons and I contacted the company who said they don't make a teething rail that is compatible. I've had a look at this:

Does anyone have this? How is it applied to the rail? And how wide is it?

My mum just brought a occasional cot for madame from Kiddicare and it came with that teething guard on - it looks reallt smart - were yet to put it to the test but I think it will be fine
